2015 Cockatoo Clear 

The wine was matured in a variety of French and American Oak Hogsheads.

Our Shiraz is aromatic with violets and red berry fruits, leading to a complete palate with fresh spice and white pepper characteristics. 

2016 Three Steers 

Hand picked in March 2016 and matured in French and American Hogsheads for 12 months.

This wine has beautiful notes of violets and blackberries. leading to a palate of rich spice and a pepper finish.


2016 Pyangle "Rose" Rosé

Off-Dry Rosé. A light and fresh style with notes of Strawberry and Cherry, with just a touch of sweetness.

2017 Pyangle "Grace" Rosé

An off-dry wine with a beautiful strawberry and cream finish. Notes of strawberry and blackberry.

2018 "Nell" Rosé

Off Dry Rosé. Lovely finish of Strawberry and Blackcurrent

The Vineyard

Pyangle Estate is a 6 ha (15 acre) vineyard situated 475m above sea level at "Pyangle" Lue (pronounced Lou-ee) between Mudgee and Rylstone NSW. The vineyard lies at the base of the imposing Elephant Mountain, hence the name of our Shiraz.  It is the only vineyard in this area.

The unique terroir and cool climate which involves a very long ripening period with cold nights and warm sunny days, enhances the flavour of our wine.

The Grapes

The Shiraz vines were planted in 1999 and 2005. Over the years, the premium grade grapes have been sold to Orlando Wyndam Estate and Robert Oatley Wines. Since 2009 we have harvested our grapes to make our own wine under the Elephant Mountain label.


Vineyard and Wine making Management

We prune the vines each year to achieve low yielding vines. This to optimises the flavours in the grapes during ripening before harvest. Minimal sprays are used in the vineyard and wherever possible none at all. The grapes are handpicked at their optimal ripeness to achieve a balanced and digestible wine requiring minimal additives in the wine making process. Our wine is especially sought after by those who are sensitive to chemicals and preservatives.
